Where do you make your tiles?

A Pyramid of Tiles is a small tile studio based in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. Every step of the production takes place here, from modeling the tiles to packing them - all handmade. 


Can I visit you in your studio?

Sure, tile studio visits are possible by appointment. Just get in touch with hello@apyramidoftiles.com and we can have a tile date :) There are also open studio events from time to time. Follow @apyramidoftiles on Instagram &/or sign up for the Newsletter to stay up to date!


Is there a minimum order quantity?

No, you can buy a single tile. Each tile is unique and can therefore be purchased individually. Please ask for the remaining stock, when interested in single tiles. Chances are good that there will be a tile waiting exactly for you!

Do all tiles look exactly the same?

Each tile is handmade from scratch and therefore unique. Because every step is done by hand, the tiles may vary slightly – but this is also what makes them so special!

Do you offer custom-made tiles?

Please check out the Journal section to get inspired. If you already have a project in mind, just get in touch and we can discuss further details.


How long do I have to wait for my tiles?

Most tiles and tiled objects are made-to-order with a lead time of 6-12 weeks. Pieces from the online shop are currently available - if not stated otherwise - and can be sent out promptly. 

Please keep in mind that this is a small tile studio and delivery times therefore vary depending on your order and the existing order situation.


Should I order extra tiles?

Yes, about 10% overage is recommended. These extra tiles can be used in case of breakage during installation or in case of damage at a later stage. It is best to discuss this with the tiler in advance.


How does the shipping work?

The shipping costs depend on the size of the order and the delivery location. Smaller packages are sent with DHL. When it comes to bulky goods, DB Schenker has proven to be a reliable logistics company. Here, daily offers are obtained for each shipment and communicated in advance. You can also pick up your order from the tile studio once your tiles are finished. Please get in touch in advance so we can arrange an appointment for your pickup. 


What if tiles arrive damaged or broken?

Please don’t wait too long to unpack your tiles after delivery. After looking at your order carefully and discovering some damage, please get in touch with hello@apyramidoftiles.com and send pictures of the damaged or broken tiles. We will find a solution in any case.

Is it possible to return or exchange tiles?

All items purchased in the online shop can be returned or exchanged within 14 days. The return costs for this are to be borne by the buyer. Custom-made tiles and made-to-order pieces cannot be returned or exchanged. Please go to Shipping & Returns for further information.

How do I care for my tiles?

Please treat your tiles with care. They don’t need much maintenance, just a regular wash with some neutral cleaner or soap on a soft microfiber or cotton cloth. Chemical cleaners and heavy scrubbing are not recommended. The coasters and tile trays are not suitable for the dishwasher.
